Mars Climate Orbiter (MCO)/ Mars Polar Lander (MPL)

There were few scheduled activities again this week for both the MCO and MPL spacecraft. The flight team completed the installation of several software patches to the MCO telemetry system on Friday, Apr. 16. Work is still ongoing in the testing of MCO software modifications for implementing "all-stellar" mode; the first phase of testing has been completed successfully, and the second phase of testing is proceeding on schedule.
