In accordance with the RAS Physical Sciences Division working plan for 2004 year scientific events, an International Conference "Mode Conversion, Coherent Structures and Turbulence" will be held in the Space Research Institute of RAS during the period from 23 up to 25 November 2004. This Conference is devoted to Prof.S.S.Moiseevís memory regards to his 75-th birthday year. It is organized by Space Research Institute and supported by the Russian Academy of Sciencesthe European Geosciences Union, the Education and Science Department of Samara Region Administration and Scientific Council on Nonlinear Dynamics of RAS.

The leading russian and foreign scientists plan to participate the Conference. The modern state of investigations in the fields of mode conversion processes under waves propagation in inhomogeneous, nonstationary and nonlinear media (in geophysics, plasmas and chiral materials), the problems of large-scale coherent structures generation (in particular, the helical vortices forming) and turbulence will be discussed. The conference topics include: new analytic approaches, computer simulations, developments of experimental data collection methods, the data processing technique, the forecasting of nonlinear dynamics of large-scale structures and their applications in natural disasters analysis, the study of nonequilibrium medium states forming under powerfull sources pumping and following relaxation processes and so on.
