Datatake ERS-2 SAR August 18, 2002 East Korean Bay Japan Sea Comment The image consists of two frames. In the dark areas, the concentration of surfactants (plankton concentration) is high enough to damp the small-scale sea surface roughness. The pattern of filamentary slicks suggests the presence of anticyclonic circulation in the western part of the East Korean Bay.
