The INTMINS April 1999 operations schedule was done on the base of the MIR ground track long-term prediction using the MIR's orbital elements status on 29/03/99.
The operations are planed for April 17-18 and 24-25.
The MIR's orbit disturbance after 29/03/99 introduces its contribution in the ground track position.
The difference between real ground track positions and one predicted 29/03/99 can be compensated by the some time shif. This time shift will be used for the operation schedule correction before its execution.

Background

The investigation of the time shift behaviour was began before 29/03/99 on the base of the different orbital elements determined (by KIAM RAN) 22/03/99, 25/03/99 and continued on the base of the orbital elements determined at 31/03/99, 5/04/99.

This investigation will continue up to the time of the experiment realisation, the last correction of plan can be done 2 days before the experiment.

The time shift analysis is presented on the plots for each couple of dates (April 17-18 and April 24-25) separately.

These plots show the time shift (sec) values as a function of the epoch of the orbital elements used during the corresponding ground tracks prediction.

The plot, corresponding to the April 17-18, includes as well the prehistory of the time shift evolution calculated on the base of the data before 29/03/99. The cases in point are the date 22/03 and 25/03.
