"News about the asteroids hunting"

Abstract:

Moving celestial objects, including asteroids, are now sought with detector arrays based on charge-coupled devices. A special Spacewatch program is being pursued at the University of Arizona in the United States to study comet and asteroid populations throughout the Solar System. The present state of the problem and the scientific results of the program are overviewed in this presentation, which also includes a discussion of the hazards due to comets and asteroids.
